The Skagit Community Band presents:
“Postcards of Gratitude”
Skagit Community Band will present an ensemble concert, “Postcards of Gratitude” at Maple Hall on Saturday, May 25 at 2:00. This concert serves a couple of purposes. There appears to be a considerable amount of pent up ensemble energy in the band as seven small groups responded to the call for participation. The groups represent all sections of the band, from “Fluteus Maximus”, to “Barefoot Jazz Dixieland” to “Skagit Brass Quintet” and more.
The band is always looking for ways to express gratitude to
their audiences for their solid support during the regular concert season. So these two purposes were combined with the idea of an ensemble concert of gratitude. The groups have selected a wide variety of musical offerings for the concert from traditional, to jazz,
to show tunes and more. As a backdrop to the music, there will be a silent dessert auction with a variety of sweet selections on display.

Last year, the Skagit Community Band celebrated 60 years of music together. This year the band celebrates using small groups and audience appreciation.
