The interview highlights the band’s upcoming concert, “Danzon: Where Music Meets Movement,” and offers listeners a behind-the-scenes look at the music, inspiration, and community spirit shaping this exciting program.
In this special interview, our Musical Director, Vince Fejeran and Board President Susie Kuykendall sit down to talk about the inspiration behind the program, and what makes this concert such a vibrant and rhythmic experience for audiences.
What exactly is a danzón? How does a wind band bring dance to life through sound alone? And what can listeners expect when they step into the concert hall?
