Skagit Community Band Presents “Danzon: Where Music Meets Movement”
The Skagit Community Band under the direction of Vince Fejeran presents Danzon: Where Music Meets Movement, a program where rhythm, tradition, and motion come alive in sound.
This lively program explores music inspired by dance traditions from around the world. Audiences will experience the fiery Spanish flair of Malagueña, the infectious energy of Tico Tico, the colorful Cuban rhythms of Danza Cubanas, and the sweeping elegance of Danzón No. 2, among other selections.

The Skagit Community Band is a volunteer ensemble made up of musicians from across Skagit County. The band is committed to providing high-quality, accessible performances for the community throughout the year.
Performances will take place on:
7:30 Friday, March 13 at La Conner Maple Hall
3:00 Sunday, March 15 at Anacortes Westminster Presbyterian Church
Note that Sunday’s performance will be held at a different location than the band’s usual Anacortes venue.
Admission is free.
Donations are welcome and help support future performances.
